Strong demand for superior quality ScreenLine integral blinds that are encapsulated within the sealed glass unit in windows and doors of all kinds has resulted in a 50% year-on-year increase in sales volume at Morley Glass & Glazing.
The company, which is the UK’s largest manufacturer of the market-leading ScreenLine blinds system by Pellini, has experienced a significant increase in demand from existing customers as well as an influx of new customers over the past 12-24 months. This has driven up manufacturing output of its Uni-Blinds® from an average of 2,500 integral blinds a week to around 3,500.
The milestone marks the culmination of a five-year plan by Morley Glass to increase volumes of integral blind units and satisfy a growing appetite from consumers seeking a home with more privacy, sun shading and a comfortable living and working environment. The company moved to new 50,000 sq. ft premises in 2016 with plenty of capacity to grow and increase production of ScreenLine integral blinds in line exactly with this in mind.
Ian Short, Morley Glass MD said: “It’s amazing that we’ve reached our target figure in terms of integral blinds production despite the impact of the pandemic, which included a complete shutdown of our production lines for six weeks in 2020. The increased demand from homeowners looking to invest in home improvements post-lockdown, which surprised many in the industry, continues apace and integral blinds are proving to be an extremely popular addition.”
Morley Glass has also recently bolstered its team with five new members of staff, and it has increased its delivery fleet with three extra vans.
